Terms of Service

Effective date: October 9, 2026

These Terms set the conditions for using the macOS app KittyKit (the “App”) and kittyland.net (the “Site”) provided by KittyLand (the “Operator”). By downloading, installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms. This English text is a translation for reference; if it differs from the Korean version, the Korean version prevails.

Article 1. Service

• The App provides input switching, the desktop cat, battery alerts and diagnostics for free.
• Windows shortcuts, standard function keys, window layout, separate scroll direction for mouse and trackpad, Finder tools, keep awake and focus screen are Pro features. Which features are free and which are Pro follows the App's Settings screen and the descriptions on the Site.
• The Operator may improve or change features. We will try not to make changes that remove, without any alternative, a Pro feature that existing Pro users already use.

Article 2. License

• The Operator grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App for personal or business purposes. Ownership of the App and its intellectual property belongs to the Operator.
• Reverse engineering the App, bypassing license verification, and publicly posting, reselling or sharing a license key are not permitted.
• One license key can be activated on as many Macs as the number of devices stated at purchase. When changing devices, click “Release on this Mac” in the App to free the slot, then activate on the new Mac.

Article 3. Pro free trial

• The Pro trial lasts 7 days from the moment you click “Start trial” and can be used only once on this Mac.
• The trial needs no card registration, and nothing is charged automatically when it ends.
• When the trial ends, Pro features stop and free features keep working. Your settings are kept and carry over if you buy Pro.

Article 4. Purchase and payment

• Pro is a one-time payment, not a subscription or recurring charge. The price is the amount shown on the purchase screen (KRW 9,900 as a guide). The actual payment currency and tax follow the checkout screen.
• Payment is processed by the seller (Merchant of Record) Lemon Squeezy, and payment, tax and receipts follow Lemon Squeezy's terms and policies.
• When payment completes, the license key is delivered by email. Entering the key on the App's Pro screen activates Pro.

Article 4-2. Free code users

Users who receive a code through the method the Operator announces are given a license to use Pro features free for life. A code is issued individually to the user who asks and is tied to one Mac only. It cannot be moved to another Mac, but reinstalling the App on the same Mac is possible. A code that is shared or posted may be deactivated, and Article 2 (License) and Article 9 (Restrictions) apply to this license as well.

Article 5. Refunds

Refunds follow Lemon Squeezy's refund policy and applicable law. If there is a problem after purchase, please email [email protected] with your purchase receipt. You can try Pro first with the 7-day free trial, so we recommend trying it before you buy. When a refund is made, the license key may be deactivated.

Article 6. User responsibilities and permissions

• Some features of the App need macOS permissions such as Accessibility and Input Monitoring. You grant permissions yourself and can withdraw them any time in System Settings. Without a permission, the related feature may not work.
• Each feature has known limits; for example, with Windows shortcuts on, the Mac's default shortcuts such as Ctrl+A and Ctrl+F change. Please read the notes on the Settings screen before using them.
• You must not use the App for purposes that violate laws or the rights of others.

Article 7. Personal information

Personal information is handled according to the Privacy Policy.

Article 8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

• The App works with undocumented macOS behavior, other apps and external devices, so we do not guarantee that it works without errors in every environment. When the Operator learns of a problem, it will try to fix it within a reasonable range.
• To the extent the law allows, the Operator's liability for indirect or incidental damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the App does not exceed the amount you paid for the App. This limit does not apply to damage caused by the Operator's intent or gross negligence.
• Free features and the App are provided as they are.

Article 9. Restrictions

If a license key is used or shared improperly, or a payment is cancelled or refunded, the Operator may deactivate that key. In that case we will notify you by email beforehand where possible.

Article 10. Changes to the Terms

When we change the Terms, we announce it on this page 7 days before the effective date; changes unfavorable to users are announced 30 days before. If you keep using the App after a change, you agree to the changed Terms. If you disagree, you can stop using and delete the App.

Article 11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. If a dispute arises, we first try to resolve it by consultation; if that fails, it is resolved at the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act. The payment relationship with Lemon Squeezy follows that company's terms.
