App 0.4.0 released · More Windows shortcuts, Finder right-click menu, English support

  • NewMany more Windows shortcuts. Ctrl+N, T, W and P (new, new tab, close, print) become their ⌘ versions, and in text fields Home, End, Ctrl+Home/End and Ctrl+←/→ (word movement) work like Windows. For Ctrl+←/→ you need to turn off the space-switching shortcuts under System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > Mission Control.
  • NewIn Finder, F2 renames, Enter opens, Delete moves to the Trash and Ctrl+Shift+N creates a new folder. While renaming or in dialogs, Enter and Delete behave as usual.
  • NewAlt+F4 closes the front window. If no windows are left, the app quits too (except Finder), and you can turn that off in Settings. Ctrl+Shift+Esc opens Force Quit. The first time, macOS asks you to allow “control System Events”.
  • NewHanja key: pick a key such as the right Ctrl in Settings, and tapping just that key sends Hanja conversion (⌥+Return). Pressing it with another key or a click works as usual.
  • NewYou can turn each Windows shortcut on or off. Settings groups them as Edit, Documents & tabs, Text fields, Finder and Windows.
  • NewThe Finder right-click menu gained “Copy Path” and “Open Terminal Here”, and you can turn each menu item on or off, including New Folder and New Text File.
  • NewThe app now supports English. It shows Korean when the system language is Korean and English otherwise. The site also has English pages (/en/).
  • Improvements & fixesThe Windows shortcuts settings are grouped, and long notes are collapsed. The word “beta” was removed from the free-code wording.
  • Improvements & fixesSettings now note that some keyboard models may not behave perfectly with keys such as F1–F12.
  • SiteHelp, the install guide, guides, contact and bug report pages, Terms and the Privacy Policy are also available in English (/en/). Switch with the round KO/EN button at the top right of the site.
  • SiteKakaoTalk 1:1 support has ended; we now take inquiries by email only ([email protected]). The 0.3.4 installer has been taken down and only 0.4.0 can be downloaded. If you already installed it, download the new one and overwrite it; the signature is the same so permissions and settings are kept.

App 0.3.4 released · New version check

  • NewThe app checks for new versions. A new-version notice appears above the General tab with a download button, and you can also check manually with the “Check for updates” button on the About tab.
  • NewThe automatic check looks at only the latest version number when the app starts and about once a day, and you can turn it off in the General tab. Nothing else is sent.

App 0.3.3 released · Switch the moment you press, the name is KittyKit

  • NewThe language switch key (a lone key such as Right ⌘) now switches the moment you press it, not when you release it. If you keep typing before letting go, the switch isn't cancelled, and with the Accessibility permission ⌘+letter shortcuts don't fire and the letter is typed normally. No setting is needed.
  • NewThe current version (v0.3.4) is shown at the right of the Settings window title bar.
  • NewThe app and site now consistently use the name KittyKit (키티킷 in Korean).
  • Improvements & fixesFixed the left sidebar being cut off when opening the Input Switching tab, and widened its margins.
  • SiteThe 0.3.2 installer has been taken down and only 0.3.3 can be downloaded. If you already installed it, download the new one and overwrite it; the signature is the same so permissions and settings are kept.

App 0.3.2 released · Cat hourly alert fix

  • Improvements & fixesThe cat's hourly alert now rings at the exact hour even after the system clock changes (including automatic time correction), the time zone changes or the Mac wakes from sleep. Before, you had to relaunch the app after such changes.
  • NewThe app itself now carries an Apple notarization ticket, so it opens without a warning on first launch even on a Mac with no internet.
  • SiteThe 0.3.1 installer has been taken down and only 0.3.2 can be downloaded. If you already installed it, download the new one and overwrite it; the signature is the same so permissions and settings are kept.

App 0.3.1 released · Apple notarized, first-launch warning gone

  • NewApple notarization is complete: the “unidentified developer” warning on first launch is gone. You can now open the installer, move the app to Applications and run it right away.
  • SiteThe old installers (0.1.0, 0.2.0, 0.3.0) were taken down because they were not notarized. Only notarized versions can be downloaded.
  • Improvements & fixesFixed pasting (⌘V) not working in Settings text fields. You can paste beta codes and license keys.
  • Improvements & fixesThe purchase button now has an outline so it looks like a button, and the menu path in the cat notice (Accessibility > Display) was corrected.
  • Improvements & fixesThe signature changed for notarization, so if you used 0.3.0 you may need to allow Accessibility and Input Monitoring once more and re-enter your beta code (on the same Mac it reactivates right away).
